They will also explore the links between floral design and the Arts, interior design and fashion

In Undone Florist 1 you will be provided with an introduction to becoming a floral designer. Practical and theoretical training will be given in flower care and knowledge, the principles and elements of floral design. Students will be given an introductory look at working in a florist shop- and help at the set up of a Wildflower wedding if possible. This intensive course specialises in contemporary wedding flower design. You will learn how to create beautiful handmade bridal bouquets, flower crowns, corsages and buttonholes, table centres, wreaths and garlands in “undone” and other styles… and learning the business of consultation, planning, quotations and ordering for weddings.

In Undone Florist 2 you will focus on further development of the skills needed to run a successful wedding flower business; and practical workshops on larger scale arrangements in vessels/ floral installations; fully wired bouquets etc. You will learn about the history of flower arrangement culminating in a focus on the “floral revolutionaries “ of today….and links to trends in fashion the Arts and Interior design. We will have business workshops on writing a Business Plan and on using Social media to promote your business; practical workshops on classic bouquet construction (wired trailing; rose domes etc) with more practise on contemporary and undone styles; urn and large arrangements; floral installations like chandeliers and arch decoration.
